Finally at out destination with our West Coast Family we have driven a total of 8,280 miles. The breakdown is 2,977 miles on the Jeep and 5,303 on the MH. Yikes, that is round-trip plus from Massachusetts!!!!!!! See the blue line on the map for our route.
Although Ron had gone through the mail and was up to date on the stuff that needed payment he still had a lot of documents to sort through and read. He’s very OCD about mail so he couldn’t rest until he felt he had completed his task.
We had a few specialty bulbs blow out in the MH and were unable to find them anywhere so Ron decided we should go to Camping World and look for them there. We did and again underestimated the time it would take us to get there what with all the traffic. Luckily we did find the bulbs we needed and purchased extras for future use.
Then it was off to Wal Mart for dog food and toilet paper. It was the largest Wal Mart we have ever seen. So large, I lost Ron and could not find him. After twenty minutes he appeared and we were on our way.
We finally arrived at Kelly’s around 2 PM. Megan was feeling better but her antibiotic made her vomit earlier in the day.
I made a cake and we chatted with Patrick and Megan. Patrick made Ron and Megan a killer sandwich and Jewel was very excited to be there despite the hardwood floors.
After lunch I noticed water on the kitchen floor. The dishwasher overflowed and was not draining. Patrick and I mopped up and proceeded to empty the water in the bottom of the dishwasher with pans. Patrick worked to get the dishwasher to drain without much luck. Ron happened to look underneath and saw a propeller that wasn’t moving. Since we’ve had the same problem in the past he took a screwdriver and got it to work so the dishwasher did drain finally. It may have been a temporary fix but a fix anyway.
Kelly arrived home around 4 PM and we all sat around chatting and enjoying our time together. We had another great meal but no buffalo meat this time.
I tackled the Wii Fit and did OK for my age. I’m thinking this may be a good purchase for Ron and me when we get back home.
We left around 10:30 PM and that little Jewel of ours decided she wasn’t coming with us. She scooted under the dining room table and refused to come out. She really has developed an aversion to riding in the car or MH. I guess over 7000 miles of riding has gotten to her. Once again Ron had to pick her up and put her in the car. She is becoming a challenge.
