Before leaving Rasar State Park we noticed that the campsite we had to move from on Monday had another reserved site placed on the post. So the people who we moved for had to move as well. I guess that’s the downside of reservable sites.
We underestimated the time it would take us to get into Auburn so arrived a little later then expected. There was lots of road construction and delays as well as impossible traffic on I-5.
We had a great view of the Seattle skyline from the Motorhome because we were sitting up high. There was a haze over the skyline but it was pretty anyway. Due to cloud cover there was no view of Mount Rainer.
Arriving at the KOA we were pleasantly surprised because it was in much better condition then we had seen it in the past. Our site, long enough for both the MH and tow vehicle. The sites are a little close but OK.
After settling in we headed to Kelly’s 5.6 miles away. Patrick and Megan were waiting for us and it was wonderful to see them again. Megan is 16 and is more beautiful then ever.
Kelly had a teleconference call to China for a training program scheduled for 6:30 PM so we met her for an early dinner at the Bahama Breeze at 3:30 PM. It was great to see her and she also looks great. Kelly loves her job and is so into it Megan and Patrick call her Amazon Kelly.
We had a great time at dinner with a lot of laughs but Kelly had to leave and we headed back to her home. We went to the MH to get Jewel and bring her with us. On arriving at Kelly’s house we knew there would be an issue with Jewel because of all the shiny hardwood floors. Jewel had a really difficult time crossing those floors and eventually we had to pick her up and carry her to the back yard.
We spent time out on the patio with Patrick and Megan enjoying the beautiful landscaping and flowers in back yard.
Kelly’s conference went well and we stayed and talked until 10 PM. We headed home and looked forward to our next day’s visit.
